Jamaica Naturally is a grassroots initiative created by Monique deLaTour with longtime Jamaican friends who are passionate about progress in Jamaica and beyond. If you would like to assist us in our mission to empower, educate and create towards self-sustainability in Jamaica with a focus on Portland, please consider making a donation to our PayPal account. Inbox us for more details - or bring something from our wish list with you when you visit Port Antonio. We love to use the barter system, and welcome giving you something of equal value in return. Below is a list of items we need. Thank you for considering us and our efforts. Shipping by regular mail to Jamaica is NOT an effective means of getting items to us, as the mail system charges large sums of money for packages when they arrive. The best way is to collect items and ship in plastic 55 gallon barrels to us. We can use these to collect water also. We still have to pay duty and taxes on everything, and organize transport to collect it from Kingston, but this works out much cheaper on our end. Used items are not charged as much duty and taxes (paid on pick up in Jamaica) as new products. We prefer them USED because of this. Before you give items away, or throw away please consider us. Maybe your community or friends can come together and load up enough items for one barrel. Items can also be mailed or shipped within the USA to us in South Carolina, and it will reach safely. Please contact us for the SC address. We have donations packed in barrels and ready to ship currently, but no funds to ship them to Jamaica. (from SC) Contact us if you are interested in assisting with this effort. Here is the link if you would like to ship barrels to Jamaica yourself - please ask for Mikey and instructions for shipping barrels http://www.precisecaribbeancargo.us/contact.htm Thank you again. Please contact us for more detailed information. You will be making a huge difference in the lives of Jamaicans striving towards self-sustainability.
